Your licensed massage therapist will arrive 15-20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to set up the massage table, turn on relaxing music and prepare the space. Please provide an open area where there is enough room for the table (9x6 or the size of a twin-size bed). A dimly lit quiet area is nice. Then you and the therapist will discuss your treatment goals and health history. Once the therapist leaves the room to wash her hands, you will then undress to the level of your comfort (be sure to remove all jewelry and tie back hair) and get on the table lying face up under the top sheet. If you require assistance to get on the table, the therapist will be happy to help. During your massage, your therapist will communicate with you periodically to ensure that you are comfortable. After your treatment, the therapist will leave the room while you get dressed. After you are dressed the therapist will clean equipment and pack up. There will be time after the treatment to discuss findings and any questions or concerns.
The most commonly known benefits are:
Most massage techniques work best with direct skin contact; however, you should undress to the level of your comfort. Any part not being massaged will be covered with sheets. If you choose to leave your bra on be sure it is able to unclasp in the back to allow the therapist to have full access during the back portion of the massage. Your private areas, including breasts/pecs will always stay covered per the law.
Yes, that is why it is very important to complete your health history form as accurately as possible just as you would for any other medical professional visit.
Breathe and relax. Most people close their eyes to fully get comfortable. The therapist will gently move you or tell you what to do at certain times. Be sure to communicate with your therapist to provide feedback about pressure or techniques especially if you experience any pain or discomfort.
A full-body session will include your head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, back, legs, and feet. A centered session will focus on a targeted area of your choice that is causing pain/discomfort.
Yes, I love animals and happy to come to a space that has them. However, for safety and sanitation reasons it is best to keep the pets out of the room that is designated for your massage session.
Currently, Kingdom Oasis only has 1 therapist. I can be booked for back to back sessions. Prices would be discussed when booking.
